“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
– Elliott Erwitt.
After majoring in graphic design at GMU and not finding much fulfillment in that job market, I decided that I needed a change. I've always been the creative type and knew there had to be a place for me in the art world. I moved away to Charleston, South Carolina one summer, hoping to find inspiration there. I randomly met a wedding photographer and loved his work. I decided at that moment that this was the career that I wanted to pursue! It looked like such an amazing job and I wanted to jump right into it! I came back to D.C. soon after to study digital photography and intern with local photographers to see where this new passion would lead me. And here I am today, a full time wedding photographer!
I love that each wedding is a unique story. It is a rare glimpse into a couple’s life and to be a part of that is truly an honor. I strive to capture weddings in a creative and photojournalistic way so my clients have beautiful imagery that they can cherish forever!
I will be taking a limited number of weddings this fall due to my own wedding taking place in Hawaii this coming October! We decided to have the ceremony on the beautiful island of Maui. Looking forward to sharing photos with you!
In addition to serving D.C., Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, I've also added New Mexico to my list! Starting this summer, I will be traveling between these places for weddings.
